WELCOME TO THE LOUISIANA CHAPTER OF THE
|
Dana Sawyer founded the Honda Sport Touring Association in 1982 following the introduction by Honda of the V45 Sabre Sport Tourer. Originally including only the Honda V-Four Sabre and Magna, the club has since been expanded to include all
brands of motorcycles and of any style deemed suitable by its owner for two
wheeled activities within the broad range of "SPORT" and "TOURING". Reflecting this change, the membership voted to change our name to better represent who we are and the result is simply MOTORCYCLE SPORT TOURING ASSOCIATION. The Louisiana Chapter has been in existence since October 1982 and is currently directed by Bob Chappuis. We have an active core of members who get together for monthly lunch rides year round and to ride out to National and Regional Events all across the USA. In addition we host our own annual Regional event, held in early December and called "Cajun Christmas". Membership in the MSTA is established through the National organization.
